Ghanaian media personality Deloris Frimpong Manso, popularly known as Delay, has opened up about a life-changing experience that once left her heartbroken but has now become a testimony of how far she has come.
Reflecting on her past, Delay revealed that in 2006, during the FIFA World Cup in Germany, she made an attempt to leave Ghana and relocate permanently.
According to the media personality, she walked into the German embassy hoping to secure the opportunity to move abroad. However, her plans did not materialise after her application was unsuccessful.
Delay said the rejection was painful at the time, as she had hoped to begin a new chapter of her life outside Ghana. Looking back today, however, she believes the disappointment was part of a bigger plan for her.
Rather than viewing the rejection as a setback, Delay now sees it as divine redirection. She believes God may have been preparing her for a different purpose—one that would eventually see her build a successful life and become an inspiration to others.
Her story has sparked reactions from fans, with many praising her journey and pointing to her success as evidence that life’s disappointments can sometimes lead to unexpected blessings.
For Delay, what once felt like a closed door in Germany may have been the very door that redirected her toward the life she was meant to build in Ghana.
