Assin Central Member of Parliament (MP), Kennedy Agyapong, has challenged investigative journalist, Anas Aremeyaw Anas, to drag him and his witnesses to court if he believes they are defaming him.
The lawmaker who says he is on a mission to unmask the investigative journalist said he was certain he has in his possession enough evidence to prove that Anas is not ‘as genuine as he is perceived by Ghanaians’.
Ken Agyapong, in furtherance of his resolve to expose Anas, has together with different witnesses, made appearances on some radio and television stations to testify against the investigative journalist.
One of the witnesses, Mohammed Hafiz Abdullah, claimed on Net 2 TV that Anas took a bribe of $ 50,000 from him to drop an investigative piece against him.
The Dema Naa said he was made to part with the money, fearing that the investigation would bring him embarrassment so he parted with $50,000 to Anas while his friend also parted with $50,000 to complete Anas’ demands of $100,000.
Speaking on Adom FM’s Morning Show. ‘Dwaso Nsem’ Monday, Ken Agyapong said he was convinced the evidence provided by his witnesses were factual and has thus challenged Anas to drag him to court if he believes he is lying.
