Former Asante Kotoko striker Albert Amoah joins Saudi side Hajer FC

Former Asante Kotoko striker Albert Amoah has completed a move to Saudi Arabian side Hajer FC ahead of the 2026/27 season.

 

Hajer officially announced the signing of the Ghanaian forward on Friday, August 14, 2026, confirming that Amoah will represent the club in the Saudi First Division League, popularly known as the Yelo League, during the upcoming campaign.

 

The 24-year-old striker joins Hajer after establishing himself as one of the notable attacking talents in the Ghana Premier League in recent seasons.

 

Amoah scored 21 goals in 52 appearances in the Ghanaian top flight, showcasing his goalscoring ability and consistency in front of goal.

 

His move to Saudi Arabia marks a significant new chapter in his career as he looks to continue his development and make an impact on the international stage.

 

Amoah previously featured for Asante Kotoko, where he became an important attacking option. During the 2024/25 Ghana Premier League season, he finished among the league’s leading scorers and produced one of his most memorable performances on the final day of the campaign.

 

The striker scored a hat-trick as Kotoko secured a thrilling 3-2 victory over Medeama, further underlining his attacking qualities.

 

Known for his goalscoring instincts, physical presence and intelligent movement in the final third, Amoah is expected to add firepower to Hajer’s attack as the club prepares for the new season.

 

Speaking after completing his move, Amoah expressed his excitement about joining Hajer and praised the rapid development and growing global profile of football in Saudi Arabia.
