Black Queens coach Mercy Tagoe eulogizes Didi Dramani

Black Queens coach Mercy Tagoe has hailed the influence Ma-Ud Didi Dramani has had on her young coaching career.

Coach Didi earlier this year vacated his role as the coach the Black Queens to take up a position at Danish top flight side FC Nordsjaelland.

And Mercy Tagoe, who was an understudy to the former Asante Kotoko trainer, was given the nod to take the team to the maiden WAFU Women’s Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast – which she excelled by winning the trophy.

Currently, she is preparing the Queens for the upcoming Women’s Africa Cup of Nations to be staged in Ghana and according to the former FIFA referee, learning from Didi has made her better.

“I didn’t feel anything rather I felt good, because that was the beginning of my national assignment. Unfortunately Didi Dramani left too fast. My stay with Dramani Didi in the national team was very brief. I learnt a lot from him. He happens to be one the resource people who took us to our coaching licensing. If you have somebody like this as your head, why won’t you learn?” she quizzed.

“That man is a very serious guy. He doesn’t play with his business and is like I learnt the little that I could before he left”.
