Beware of ‘Try Me’ flagbearer’ – John Mahama to Ghanaians

Former President John Dramani Mahama has charged Ghanaians to not be deceived by any flag bearer of a party who will be begging Ghanaians to try him/ her as a President of the Republic of Ghana.

Mr Mahama addressing NDC supporters during the party’s Unity Walk in the Ashanti regional capital, Kumasi on April, 28, 2018 said the economy is collapsing because Ghanaians voted for “Try Me” flag bearer during the 2016 general elections.

President Akufo-Addo, then the New Patriotic Party (NPP) flag bearer, during his campaign appealed to Ghanaians to “try him” by voting him into office in the 2016 general elections.

According to former President, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) is a tried and tested per the party’s records.

Mr. Mahama said Ghanaians were convinced about the NPP’s juicy campaign promises and voted for them massively to win the 2016 election hence Ghanaians are suffering under Akufo-Addo’s government.

“Nana Addo told Ghanaians his government will reduce fuel price but now drivers are working for fuel stations due to fuel price increment by Nana Addo’s government. Traders at Central Market and other markets are crying because of low patronage of their goods due to bad economy. Spare parts dealers’ business is collapsing under the “try me” government. Ghanaians should learn something from the hardship Nana Addo’s government has plunged the country into and reject any “try me” flag bearer,” he advised.

Former President Mahama stated categorically that the NDC party will win the 2020 elections
