The National Organizer of the opposition national Democratic Congress (NDC), Mr. Kofi Adams has, stated that there has not been a single salary structure ever in the history of the country that has helped the citizenry, than the Single Spine Salary Structure (SS by his party, NDC.
This according to him is evidential enough to see the deference between a competent and an incompetent government. He is charged the ruling government to stop recurring debt and produce pragmatic results that will affect the lives of Ghanaians.
Speaking on Okay FM’s ‘Adi Akyi Abiaa’ with host, Kwame Nkrumah Tikesie on Thursday, April 26, the National Organizer condemned the government for the abysmal management of the economy.
He further stated that the ruling government has incurred a huge debt of $40 billion after their take over which excludes other expenditure and are not bringing any new initiative for the growth of the economy.
“We made life very comfortable for the people and this is not seen now”, He stated.
Speaking on problems bedeviling the National Health Insurance Scheme, Kofi Adams stated that, the authority has stopped registering new beneficiaries simply because the government has failed to pay the needed funds for the smooth running of the scheme.
“The president lied to us stating the contrary but this has been made clear by the service providers themselves stating that arrears that are expected to be paid for six months now have been forfeited simply because of mismanagement.
This is a vindication to all what we have been saying for months now on NPP’s inability to manage the economy”
Speaking on his party’s Branch elections, Kofi Adams stated, “I am much impressed on the turn up of our branch elections, this is because hitherto comments made by our opponents predicting violence during the process, it has been very peaceful and smooth”
He also stated that he is confident that the NDC party prepared to take power from the ruling government to help make life bearable for Ghanaians.
He also edged all party members to actively get involved in the elections to help build a formidable party for 2020 elections.
