Media personality Serwaa Amihere has shared the deeply personal reason behind her decision to pursue a career in law, revealing that her passion for justice was born from painful experiences during her childhood.
According to Serwaa, becoming a lawyer was never about prestige or status. Instead, it was driven by a desire to fight for people whose voices have been ignored.
Reflecting on her past, she disclosed that as a young girl, she experienced difficult moments that no child should have to endure, including maltreatment, defilement, false accusations, humiliation, and having her voice repeatedly dismissed.
“I didn’t become a lawyer because it was prestigious. I became one because I knew what injustice felt like,” she said.
Serwaa explained that those painful experiences taught her early in life that the world is not always fair and that many victims suffer in silence while those responsible often escape accountability.
Determined to make a difference, she said her goal has always been to stand up for the vulnerable and ensure that justice is served.
“I learned early that the world isn’t always fair, and that too many victims are left to suffer in silence while the guilty walk free. So I wanted to pay them back with fair justice,” she added.
