Ahotor News and ahotoronline.com have intercepted footage and images about the architectural elevations of the Ho aerodrome, depicting a staggering spectacle in diverse views.
The 25 million dollar project commenced in 2015 by the John Dramnani Mahama’s administration under the express supervision by the then Transport Minister, Hon. Dzifa Aku Ativor.
The construction is undertaken by Amandi constructions Limited.
The project is endowed with facilities such as : a round way of 1,900 meters in length , and 30 metres wide, an aircraft’s parking area, a terminal building to hold about 150,000 passengers yearly, VIP,VVIP facility.
Ahotor newsmen have been furnished with gleeful pictures, rendering earlier assertions and propaganda by some opposition figures of the NPP who labeled the facility in 2015 as a mere “Kiosk” as null and void and without any iota of substantiation.
The news team has gathered that, chiefs and people in the Volta region are steadily awaiting briefs by local authorities and the government to ascertain when the facility would revert to them for operations.
Former President John Drammani Mahama revealed during a sod cutting ceremony in 2015, that the Ho airport will serve as a major linkage between the southern and northern sectors of the country for smooth bricks economic takeover after completion.Residents and local folks have expressed mixed reactions and are hopeful President Akufo-Addo will inspect the project in earnest and thereafter open for operations for economic growth.
When the news crew contacted investors and corporate community to sought their views on the relevance of the Ho aerodrome, they enthusiastically Lauded the JDM regime for such a feet well chalked and contended the facility would act as catalyst to enhance businesses to flourished in the Volta region and further appealed to the Akufo-Addo administration to construct similar airspaces’ in the remaining regions of the country in order to bridge the bottlenecks in transportation which beset the country.
From all indicators it is imperative to note that, the facility would wreck in the much needed revenue to support the feeble sectors in the country.
A chop bar, operator Madam Dzibordi, in the Ho municipality who granted audience to the crew stated through an exclusive interview that “Photoshop and Kiosk accusers” are shamed.
Reports however revealed that there were issues about land tenure challenges but the situation until the completion of the edifice have been dealt with in accordance with mutual understanding involving the resenting parties involved.
