A police sergeant with the Konongo divisional command and his daughter has been crashed to death after their vehicle collided head-on with a Metro Mass Transit bus at Amanase near Suhum in the eastern region today.
Sergeant Daniel Abotsi who was driving from Accra to Kumasi in his Opel Astra with registration number GT 1742 -12 veered off his lane into the opposite lane and crashed with the bus with registration number GR 4732-Z traveling from Koforidua to Accra.
Regional police PRO, ASP Ebenezer Tetteh who confirmed the accident said the driver of the bus; 42 year old Clifford Seidu is currently in police custody assisting with investigation.
He adds that the dead bodies have been removed and deposited at the Suhum government hospital for preservation and autopsy.
