The Deputy Organizer for the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Asunafo South constituency, Mr. Seidu Adams, popularly known as Red and a victim of Saturday’s brutality that involved the Member of Parliament for the constituency and others narrated his ordeal on Ahotor FM’s Morning Show on Tuesday, 3rd April 2018.
According to him he sustained severe bodily injury which left him helpless on the day of the attack.
“I had eight cuts on my body which made me helpless”, Adams said this to Onantifour Addea Mununkum, host of Ahotor Morning Show in a telephone interview.
Adam also stated that these persons who committed this barbaric attack gave him an earlier notice of their attack by burning his car during the course of the week.
“They broke into my house without me knowing. They surrendered my house and forcefully made their way through. I struggled with one of the attackers who made his way into my room and made my way out”
“Unfortunately I came out to meet more than eight armed men who immediately stated their attack.
I heard one of them shouting out telling his colleagues to lock the main door and kill me. So I immediately run for help and the attacks started”
“I was given eight machete slashes on my body with a deep cut on my neck. All that I heard as I bled profusely on the ground was, “I have finished him I think we can go now”.
“So I crawled in pain till I was heard shouting for help. My brother then came to pick me up and rushed me to the hospital”
“I realized that the attackers took away some valuable items in my home, which included an undisclosed amount of money, my phones and that of my wife, clothes, and others”
“I am in pain and I pray I get better”. He stated
Mr. Seidu Adams further stated that he can identify the attackers and that there is a complain lodge at the district police command.
“I can say they are known people at the Sankore Area. I have no idea if any arrest has been made and I pray the police work for the good of the whole constituency”
