Hollywood actor Timothée Chalamet surprised fans after admitting he was “starstruck” when he met the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders ahead of the FIFA World Cup semi-final between France and Spain in Texas.
Despite being one of Hollywood’s biggest stars, Chalamet said he was the one feeling overwhelmed after greeting members of the iconic cheerleading squad before Tuesday’s match.
A video shared by the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders and the NFL showed Chalamet warmly greeting and hugging several members of the squad before introducing himself. Smiling at the camera, the actor joked, “I’m starstruck,” a comment that quickly went viral across social media platforms.
Chalamet attended the match wearing a France jacket in support of the French national team. Although France suffered a 2-0 defeat to Spain, the actor remained in high spirits and was seen interacting with fans throughout the event.
The appearance further highlighted Chalamet’s growing reputation as a passionate sports fan. In recent months, he has been spotted at several major sporting events, including New York Knicks games and FIFA World Cup matches.
The light-hearted moment has drawn praise from fans online, with many describing the Oscar-nominated actor’s humility and sense of humour as refreshing.
