NPP sets 21 to 24 April for its regional elections

The governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) has scheduled 21 April to 24 April to conduct fresh elections aimed at choosing new executives who would serve the party at the various regions across the country.

This set of elections follows the branch and constituency level polls which have been conducted in about two hundred and sixty one constituencies leaving an outstanding number of fourteen due to various disagreements.

Addressing the media at the NPP headquarters in Accra on Thursday 15 March 2018, acting General Secretary John Boadu revealed that a committee has been set up to resolve the issues and outline the dates for the regional executives poll.

The 21st to 24th of March have also been scheduled for opening of nominations and 27th to 31st of March for vetting of nominees.

He said the party will also constitute an Election Committee in each region to oversee vetting and other processes.

21 March to 24 March have been designated for opening of nominations and 27 March to 31 March the period for the vetting of nominees.
