BOST MD threatening to kill me – COPEC Boss

Executive Secretary of the Chamber of Petroleum Consumers, Ghana (COPEC) Duncan Amoah has alleged that he has been receiving death threats from persons linked to the Managing Director of the Bulk Oil Storage and Transport (BOST).

According to Mr. Amoah, this was after he vowed to probe details of the alleged sale of barrels of crude oil to an unlicensed company.

COPEC is alleging that Ghana has lost GHC23million of the country’s oil revenue within six months after BOST MD, Alfred Obeng sanctioned the sale of about 1.8 million barrels of crude oil at a reduced price to BB Energy.

Duncan Amoah has revealed that he’s began receiving threatening messages from the BOST MD through some unidentified men who have vowed to take his life.

“There’s been a couple of issues raised about the sale and disposal of some 1.8 million barrels of crude oil which was imported by BOST in 2016. The circumstances surrounding the sale seem pretty murky and shady. We decided to go down to investigate and ask questions. Some persons allegedly linked to the BOST MD have been calling my personal phone with threats all over the place, telling me that Ghana is a small place, I will be killed.”
