The 25th Anniversary of Ghana’s Parliament kicks off today Monday, March 5, with a symposium today.
Special guest of honour, President of the Nigerian Senate, Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki, is expected to deliver the keynote address on the topic: “The Future of Good Governance in Africa”.
The celebration of the 25 years of uninterrupted parliamentary democracy will be preceded by a discussion on the Fourth Republican Parliament in Retrospect.
Vice-President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia is expected to grace the event, which will see several dignitaries in attendance.
Other activities to mark the silver jubilee will include a media encounter with the leadership of the House, a fitness walk and a public forum among other activities.
