Ghana’s Eddie Nketiah makes Arsenal EPL debut

English-born Ghanaian striker Eddie Nketiah played his first English Premier League game for Arsenal in their 2-1 defeat to Brighton and Hovers on Sunday afternoon.

Two first half strikes from Lewis Dunk and Glenn Murray handed Brighton all the needed points as Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang could only grab the consolation goal for the Gunners.

Nketia was introduced in the 83rd minute as replacement for Callum Chambers at the American Express Community Stadium.

He took to his Twitter account to express his joy after the match; “Frustrating result this afternoon, but very proud to have made my @premierleague debut.⚽👊🏾 @Arsenal”
