Sex scandal: Ejisuman SHS students are being manipulated- GNAT

The Ghana National Association of Teachers (GNAT) have stated that, there is an unidentified persons manipulating students to defame teachers in in the Ejisuman Senior High School.

The association of teachers have said that they have doubts about stories that have been narrated by some female students who have been brought before an investigative body to answer questions on the claims of sexual harassment by teachers of Ejisuman SHS in the Ashanti region.

One of the female students has narrated that, one of the teachers had asked her to stroke her mouth on his penis to grant him sexual satisfaction but she turned him down and rather used her hand for the stroking thereby granting the sexual escapade of the teacher.

However, the General Secretary  of GNAT, David Acheampong has pointed accusing fingers at the opinion leaders of the area for their claims of manipulation.

He revealed that, the GNAT had established an independent investigative body to look into the matter and the information they have gathered is contrary to the claims of the students and that, the confidence level of the teachers have fallen.

He said, “What we have found out will be made public after the Committee’s report is released”.

He queried while speaking about the reason for the acceptance of what the female students who appear before the investigative committee are narrating.

He stated, “Why are we sticking to what the students said?”

Due to the incidents that went viral some weeks ago, there has been a laissez-faire attitude among students and teachers in the Ejisuman Senior High School.

There have been reports by some female students that, some of the teachers in the school have been having sexual relationships with the female students.

However, these allegations have been denied by the teachers.
