Ghanaian actor Kwabena Boakye has sparked conversations on social media after revealing details about his working relationship with actress and movie producer Vivian Jill Lawrence.
Speaking in a recent interview, Kwabena Boakye claimed that the highest amount he ever received from Vivian Jill for a production was GH¢1,400, despite the duo reportedly generating significant revenue from their video projects.
According to the actor, the content they produced attracted a large audience and brought in substantial earnings. He alleged that some of the projects were generating more than $10,000 monthly, yet his compensation remained relatively low.
“The highest amount Vivian Jill paid me was GH¢1,400, but we were making more than $10,000 every month,” he stated.
Kwabena Boakye further expressed disappointment over what he described as an unfair share of the proceeds, accusing his former colleague and godmother of being overly focused on profits.
His remarks have since triggered mixed reactions online, with some social media users sympathising with his concerns while others argue that payment agreements are usually determined before projects begin.
Vivian Jill has not publicly responded to the claims at the time of this report.
The revelation has reignited discussions about compensation, transparency, and revenue-sharing arrangements within Ghana’s entertainment industry, particularly among actors and content creators working on digital platforms.
