NDC Dismisses Rumours of Imminent Government Reshuffle

The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has firmly dismissed widespread rumours suggesting an imminent government reshuffle, urging the public to disregard what it describes as false and misleading claims circulating on social media and other informal platforms.

Speaking on Ahotor Yepe Ahunu on Saturday, June 6, hosted by Alexander Nana Dogbe at Lashibi, the party addressed growing public speculation regarding alleged changes to the ministerial lineup.

In an official statement issued on June 6, the NDC’s Deputy National Communication Officer, Godwin Ako Gunn, cautioned party supporters and the general public against relying on unverified information. He stressed that no official communication had been issued concerning any government reshuffle.

According to the party, the rapid spread of misinformation through digital platforms has enabled some individuals to deliberately distort facts in an attempt to create confusion and undermine public confidence in credible institutions.

The NDC also rejected a letter purportedly originating from Jubilee House that contained a list of alleged ministerial dismissals and appointments, describing the document as fake.

The statement further warned of the legal consequences of spreading false information under Ghana’s Cybersecurity Act, noting that individuals involved in the creation or dissemination of misinformation could face serious sanctions.

The party therefore urged Ghanaians to exercise caution, verify information before sharing it, and rely solely on official communications from authorised state institutions and credible sources.
