Professor George Agyei, Director-General and Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Standards Authority (GSA), has been honoured with the prestigious Best Performing CEO Award (State Companies) at the 6th Edition of the Ghana Minister of the Year (MOTY) Awards held at the La Palm Royal Beach Hotel Convention Centre in Accra.
The distinguished recognition follows his selection by the Ghana Minister of the Year Awards Board and Technical Panel after a comprehensive evaluation of leadership excellence, financial stewardship, corporate governance, institutional impact, innovation, and service delivery during the 2025 assessment period.

According to the organisers, Professor Agyei distinguished himself through visionary leadership, strategic management, and measurable institutional achievements that have strengthened the operational efficiency and national relevance of the Ghana Standards Authority. His performance earned him recognition among the country’s most outstanding chief executives within the public sector.
