In the last three days, I have seen about three different pictures of the Vice President, Alhaji Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, in outstretched legs posture, suggesting that probably, he is not as sick (sitting in a wheelchair ) as claimed by some others. Good. But is that necessary?
Who votes for a Vice President, who, on a daily basis, must convince everyone that he is alive? That is a bigger problem than those speculating of his ill health. If he is healthy, he should just come home and work. That is why he is the Vice President.
While I don’t subscribe to politicking with the health of others, especially our leaders, any health situation which has overwhelmed our medical infrastructure and personnel to the extent of it being outsourced to UK warrants serious public attention.
Especially so, when we had a precedence of a sitting President who just dropped dead after he was made to run vigorously on a tarmac in front of cameras to prove his vitality. But he was sick, and dying. He died.
Again, we need to know exactly what is wrong with our Vice President because he will be paid for the days he is away from work – he is living on taxes wherever he is, and he is the head of the economic management team at the time this economy appears to be melting away.
