The vibrant sounds and rich traditions of Ghana are set to take centre stage in Toronto as TOC Foundations prepares to host the highly anticipated Ghana Cultural Music Showcase during the Caribbean Carnival (Caribana) 2026 celebrations.
Scheduled for Saturday, August 1, 2026, the event promises an exciting night of music, culture, and community engagement, bringing together Ghanaians in the diaspora, Caribbean communities, and music lovers from across Canada.
The showcase will be held at the Jamaican Canadian Association in Toronto and is expected to serve as a major platform for promoting Ghanaian culture during one of Canada’s biggest cultural festivals.
Headlining the event is celebrated Ghanaian recording artist Chizzy Wailer alongside the Ruff Nekk Band. The group is expected to deliver an electrifying live performance blending reggae, Afro-inspired rhythms, and contemporary Ghanaian sounds, creating a unique musical experience for patrons.
According to organisers, the event is designed to celebrate Ghana’s rich cultural heritage while strengthening relationships between diverse communities through music and cultural exchange.
