At least four 4 persons has sustained gunshot wounds and one in critical condition as the New Patriotic Party NPP are electing their polling station executives nationwide but the situation at Akroso Manso Asene A.M.A in the Eastern Region is different.
Some of the party faithfuls in the constituency alleges that, old executives have connive with the MP for the area Hon George Aboagye (Oluwa) for hoarding the forms and giving it secretly to their favorite contestants who are willing to contest for the polling station executive position.
Report says Akroso youth had a tip off that the constituency chairman (kalaala) and MP (Oluwa) were sharing the forms among their favorite members in the chairman’s house at Akroso.
The youth decided to confront them because it was unconstitutional,upon reaching the house there were well build men suspected to be land guards who started firing gun shots through the mob which led to four people sustaining gunshot wounds and are currently at the Akroso Clinic but the one in critical condition is on admission in Akyem Oda government hospital for treatment.
