The Secretary General of the Ghana Federation of Labour (GFL), Abraham Koomson, has cautioned that internal wrangling within the National Democratic Congress (NDC) could derail the party’s political agenda and weaken its focus on governance.
He explained that when infighting takes precedence over unity, it affects a party’s overall momentum and can ultimately undermine its electoral and administrative strength.
Speaking on Ahotor FM’s Ahotor FM “Yepe Ahunu” show on Saturday, May 23, the labour leader urged members of the ruling party to close ranks and support President John Dramani Mahama in his efforts to stabilise and transform the national economy.
He stressed that persistent divisions within the party are unhealthy and must be urgently addressed through internal dialogue and reconciliation.
Mr. Koomson further warned that continued internal conflict could create openings for the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) to regain political advantage, adding that the NDC must not allow the NPP to resurface through complacency or disunity.
