A self-styled businessman Agormor Richard Dei Delali who claims to be a top NDC functionary and activist has defrauded two persons of 8000 Ghana cedis on the pretext of sending them to Qatar.
The two victims Anthony Kusi and Simon Yeboah who hail from Drobo in the Jaman South District of the Brong Ahafo Region.
The victims (Anthony Kusi and Simon Yeboah) were introduced to Delali by a friend and had to sell their cocoa farm and a commercial vehicle respectfully to be able to raise the money.
According to them, Delali gave them the assurance that he could facilitate their trip to Qatar if only they can afford to pay the facilitation fees.
He gave them a breakdown of the bill as follows;( a) Police report-GH 300 per person (b)passport GH 700 per person and (c) visa GH 2000.
After taking the money Delali sent them a fake Qatari visa which had no contact address or telephone number and told them later that because they did not go for a medical examination he had arranged for them, he has cancelled the deal.
Checks conducted by our sources proved that the supposed visa is fake and that Delali is a fraudster who have been using the same tricks to defraud unsuspecting victims under the pretext of taking them abroad.
Our source also confirmed that Delali is also being pursued by a man he swindled under the pretext of taking him to Canada of which he took 8500 Ghana Cedis as facilitation fee but failed to deliver on his promise.
He has paid 3000 to the victim upon persistent pressure from his victim leaving an outstanding balance of 5500.
But Agormor Richard Delali in an interview refuted vehemently the allegations against him and his company claiming the claim is part of a grand agenda to hurt his reputation built over the years. He however admitted that he knew the victims and that what they are alleging is contrary to the agreement entered by his company on one-part and the victims on another. He argued that the money quoted is way above what the victims paid to him.
Delali claims to be an NDC big wig with very strong links within the party leadership, the Police, the Judiciary among others and claims to be an entrepreneur, a consultant and a change agent and an astute public speaker.
As at press time the victims were on their way to the Police Headquarters to file a formal complain of fraud against the loud mouthed self-styled NDC big man.
