Bidders for 2026 FIFA World Cup submit bidding agreement, Ghana bid not received
Rumours that Ghana would be considering a bid for the 2026 World Cup has been finally to bed as the West Africans are not among countries bidding for host global competition.
FIFA has confirm that in accordance with the established timeline, the two registered bidders have submitted their respective bidding agreements before the passing of the 30 November deadline.
The bidding agreement, among other things, provides bidders with information on the structure and content of a bid and the documents which are required to be submitted.
Through the submission of the bidding agreement, the bidders also undertake to submit their bid in accordance with the terms of the agreement and acknowledge the binding character of the bid.
