The Managing editor of the Al Hajj Newspaper Alhaji Bature has described the ruling government as the most deceptive and fraudulent political party in Ghana.
Alhaji Bature accused President Nana Addo Dankwa and his administration of misleading and deceiving Ghanaians with their propaganda schemes.
“The NPP and the president are liars. This is the kind of government that is very good at deception. They think they can rule this country on propaganda. This government is the most deceptive government Ghana has ever had,” Bature professed.
According to him, the NPP has achieved none of the many promises they made to Ghanaians in the run up to the 2016 elections. To him it was a “trap” set by the government to win the trust of Ghanaians as well as entice citizens to vote them into power.
The editor, who challenged the NPP to prove which of their promises they had fulfilled said Ghanaians, including NPP supporters, have regretted voting the ruling party into power because jobs promised them have not materialized. To this he said he had proof.
“What fundamental thing have they done since they came into power? All they have done is to deceive Ghanaians since they came into power. And I am telling you,the people who voted…the NPP supporters; they can’t even find a job.”
The disgruntled Editor blamed the media for acting as a propaganda mechanism through which the NPP won the elections and threw dust into the eyes of Ghanaians through their lies. For him, it is unfortunate as it will have dire consequences on the country and the media will have its own share of the cake.
“I am disappointed in the media because they helped the government to come into power. But whether you like it or not we are all in it and will sink together. Because anything built on propaganda is like building a house on the sand.”
