Major road networks in the hinterlands of Yilo Krobo municipality are undergoing massive rehabilitation to enhance the livelihood of residents.
This laudable intervention is being done through the social support of Hon. Michael Ologo, NDC parliamentary hopeful for 2020 election.
Residents in these communities who are predominantly farmers continuously lost their farm produce after bumper harvest as a result of these poor road networks.
“Transporting our produce from the farmlands to the market centers was a challenge. We either sell them at a cheaper price or allow it to go waste”.
This was a statement of a farmer at Ahabaso a community in the municipality.
This rehabilitation is part of Hon. Ologo’s social responsibility to his constituents. This according to him is not only targeted at bringing massive development to them but also to link them to the municipal market center.
In an interview with him, he emphasized that he solely financed this development and felt the need to help his people.
“Roads that were rehabilitated included the Huhunya – Prechi stretch through to Adome, the Obawale -Ahabaso road and other roads that links the communities”
“There is the need for this massive intervention to enhance the livelihoods of my people and I voluntarily decided to take this initiative”, He stated.
Speaking to the Assembly Man of Tsebi Tayi, Hon. Frederick Abgozo, Dade Mantse Emmanuel, chief of Ahabaso and residence indicated their heartfelt gratitude to Hon. Michael Ologo for such kind gesture.
They also called on the government to come to their aid on other social amenities as well.
