The Friday edition of Ahotor FM’s morning show hosted officials from the Social Security and National Insurance Trust (SSNIT).
Discussions center on the biometric registration for pensioners. It was made known that SSNIT is mandated by law to administer a pension scheme for workers in Ghana.
Pensioners who have contributed to the scheme receive monthly pension and SSNIT will receive a pay till death. A representative from the scheme, Okai- Alifo Edem emphasized that the new biometric registration will help identify living pensioners for smooth running of the scheme.
She edged all pensioners to visit their beaches to get the registration done. The show was hosted by Harry Lawson.
