NPP appointees are frightened and weak – Odike

Founder and leader of Kumasi-based United Front Party (UFP), Akwasi Addai Odike has described appointees of the NPP government as frightened and weak to make certain crucial decisions as leaders.

He explained that some appointees are too frightened to implement certain policies that will in the long run profit the people.

Speaking on a Kumasi Based FM station, he noted, “Some appointees of the government are even frightened to take decisions that will benefit the people”.

The UFP leader pinpointed the Mayor of Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly(KMA), Osei Assibey Antwi as weak for not ensuring easy movement of traffic in the metropolis after several calls to him to prevent traders from transacting business on the city pavements.

Responding to the Regional Minister’s orders to evict traders on pavements and unauthorized places, the politician said, “I see Hon. Osei Assibey Antwi is weak to control sellers on the streets”, and hence advised the mayor and other appointees to stop being frightened and be bold to take decisions.

He further advised that the appointees should be ready to take certain radical decisions such as evicting traders since they are in power.

“Everything points that you people are not corrupt and ready to serve Ghanaians unlike the previous administration so just take radical decisions to evict traders plying their businesses on pavements”, he said.
