Sachet Water Prices Surge to GH¢15 per Bag from April 6 Amid Polymer Crisis

The National Association of Sachet and Packaged Water Producers (NASPAWAP) has announced a price increase for sachet water, effective Monday, April 6, 2026.

The hike stems from a global polymer shortage and soaring costs, worsened by the ongoing conflict in Iran. These rising expenses have made it unsustainable for manufacturers to hold current prices, according to a NASPAWAP statement.

National Association of Sachet and Packaged Water Producers (NASPAWAP) Announces Price Adjustment for Sachet Water

NASPAWAP regrets to announce an upward revision of ex-factory and ex-truck prices for sachet water (500ml x 30 sachets), effective April 6, 2026. These are recommended national price reviews.

This follows a global polymer shortage and sharp price increases, exacerbated by the Iran conflict, severely impacting production costs.

New Prices:

Ex-factory: GH¢8 per bag

Ex-truck: GH¢10 per bag

Maximum retail: GH¢15 per bag

We urge retailers and consumers to adhere to these for fair trade. Thank you for your understanding.

Sincerely,

NASPAWAP (Director, Corporate Affairs)
