The much awaited elections of the Ghana Journalists Association (GJA) will take place on Friday September 29, 2017, the Elections Committee has announced.
The nationwide election will start at 8 am and close at 4pm.
It however cautioned that no member will be allowed to do more than two proxy voting.
Polling agents
The statement said candidates should submit the names of their polling agents to the Elections Committee by 5pm on Wednesday, September 27, 2017.
It further stated that eligible voters must produce a GJA identification card or any National Identification Card for identification purposes.
The committee also asked members to visit the Association’s website –www.gjaghana.org for details on the Voter’s Register as well as the various polling stations.
Polling centres
Polling Centres for Greater Accra and Tema are the Ghana International Press Centre, Graphic Communications Group Limited, Ghana Broadcasting Corporation (GBC), Ghana News Agency (GNA), Ghanaian Times, and Obonu FM in Tema.
The polling centres for the regions are Graphic Communications Group Limited for the Central region, Press centre for both Western and Upper West, GBC for Northern region, Electoral Commission for the Eastern and Brong Ahafo, Information Service for Upper East and GNA for Volta.
