Azam FC target Asante Kotoko midfielder Hubert Gyau after standout GPL season

Tanzanian Premier League giants Azam FC are reportedly keen on signing Hubert Gyau after the youngster’s impressive performances for Asante Kotoko in the ongoing Ghana Premier League season.

The 20-year-old midfielder has emerged as one of Kotoko’s standout performers this campaign, attracting attention from several clubs across Africa and Europe with his consistent displays in midfield.

According to reports by Soccer Laduma, Azam FC are closely monitoring the situation of the talented Ghanaian as they look to reinforce their squad with promising players from across the continent.

Gyau has featured in 21 league matches for the Porcupine Warriors this season, scoring four goals and playing a pivotal role in the team’s midfield. His ability to control the tempo of games, combined with his technical quality, work rate and composure on the ball, has made him an increasingly important figure in Kotoko’s setup.

Despite the growing speculation surrounding his future, no official bid has yet been submitted for the player.

Gyau is represented by Prosport International, and the agency’s CEO Mike Makaab has indicated that he is currently unaware of any formal approaches for the midfielder.

With clubs from both Europe and Africa closely tracking his progress, Gyau could soon become the latest Ghana Premier League talent to secure a move abroad should the reported interest materialise into concrete negotiations in the coming months.
