The Suhum Police have launched a manhunt for seven suspects who allegedly defiled a 15-year-old girl.
Mother of the victim accompanied by the victim herself lodged complaint at the Domestic Violence and Victim Support Unit (DOVVSU) of the Suhum Municipal Police Command on Tuesday that on August 20,2017 about the incident.
The victim has been sent to the Suhum Government hospital for medical examination after the police issued a medical report form.
Confirming the incident Eastern Regional Correspondent, Kojo Ansah, the Suhum Municipal Police Commander Superintendent Joseph Owusu said, Police have begun investigation into the case but will require the victim and the community to help identify the suspects.
“We need vital information that would lead to the arrest of the suspects. According to the victim, she can identify the suspects so we want her to help and the community as well”.
