Retain Black Satellites Core for Olympic Ambitions -Minister

Sports Minister Kofi Adams wants to retain the core of Ghana’s Black Satellites U-20 team as a foundation for the national U-23 team, the Black Meteors, in preparation for the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics.

Despite the team’s quarterfinal exit from the Africa U-20 Cup of Nations, Adams sees potential in the squad.

He suggests keeping the team intact with a few additions to nurture their growth and Olympic aspirations.

Adams’ vision is to gradually develop the team into a strong U-23 side capable of competing in Olympic qualification.

This approach aims to leverage the existing talent and chemistry within the Black Satellites.
