According to the President, the complacency and incompetence of the past government must not be repeated.

Speaking at a meeting with Chief Executive Officers of Specified Entities under the State Interest and Governance Authority (SIGA) at the Kempinski Hotel, President Mahama stressed:

“Our nation, Ghana, stands at a turning point. We cannot afford the complacency and incompetence of the past,” he said.

Despite the challenges, President Mahama expressed his confidence in the newly appointed CEOs, affirming their ability to drive meaningful change.

“We have confidence in all of you who have been appointed to these agencies,” he stated.

He acknowledged that while significant progress has been made under his administration in less than 120 days, it is only the beginning of the journey toward national transformation.

“We have made significant progress in less than 120 days, but this is only the beginning. Our commitment to reform will not waver,” he assured.

The President reaffirmed his faith in Ghana’s potential, emphasizing that with divine guidance, local expertise, and collaboration with the people, the nation will achieve its aspirations.

“Under the guidance of God Almighty, and our own resources and expertise, and working hand-in-hand with the people of Ghana, we will build the Ghana we all want,” he said.

President Mahama reiterated his unwavering commitment to leading Ghana’s transformation and called on the CEOs and other appointees to actively participate in the nation-building process.
