The grand announcement will be broadcast live on TV3 and streamed on the Ghana Music Awards’ official social media platforms, allowing fans to witness firsthand which of their favorite artistes and groups have secured a spot on this year’s prestigious list.
The Road to TGMA 2025
The journey began on January 21, 2025, when the call for nominations officially opened. Artistes and music groups were invited to submit works released within the eligibility period (January 1 – December 31, 2024) for consideration. The submission window closed on February 16, 2025.
According to Charterhouse, organizers of the esteemed awards scheme, this year’s response was overwhelming, with over 1,500 entries from more than 130 artistes and music groups, spanning multiple genres.
Following the submission period, a panel of industry experts—including seasoned musicians, producers, and key stakeholders—carefully reviewed each entry. Organizers described the vetting process as rigorous and guided by clear criteria, ensuring that only the most outstanding candidates advanced. The final list of nominees was then approved by the TGMA board and other influential industry figures, reinforcing transparency and credibility.
