Grammy-nominated Nigerian star Asake has been confirmed as one of the headliners for the Yardland Festival in France.
He will share the stage with an impressive lineup of international acts, including American rapper Latto, Belgian rapper Hamza, French sensation Tiakola, and Swazi DJ and producer Uncle Waffles.
Asake has been making waves in 2025, from debuting bold new tattoos and fashion choices to dropping unexpected music. Following his appearance at the 67th Grammy Awards, he surprised fans with the freestyle ‘Military’, signaling his intent to move on his own terms.
Recently, Asake teased a new song on TikTok, fueling speculation about his next release. This came shortly after he was spotted in Paris with model Eva Apio, sparking dating rumors as the two were seen together at the Marine Serre show and partying at a local nightclub.
Fans are eagerly anticipating his next move, with the latest snippet suggesting a follow-up to his first 2025 single, ‘Why Love’.
In addition to his music, Asake is making waves in the industry. The two-time Grammy nominee recently secured six Headies Awards nominations, including Album of the Year and Song of the Year. He will be vying for his second consecutive Album of the Year win at the ceremony on April 5th.
‘Why Love’ marks his first release under Giran Republic, his independent label following his departure from YBNL. Under this imprint, Asake has also ventured into the cannabis retail business in California.
