
The Ghana Publishing Company (GPC) has officially launched a 24-hour shift system aimed at enhancing efficiency, meeting growing demands, and improving service delivery in the publishing industry.
The move, which marks a significant shift in the company’s operations, is expected to increase output, reduce turnaround time for printing and publishing services, and create more employment opportunities.
Announcing the new system in Accra, Managing Director of GPC, Nana Kwesi Boatey, explained that the decision was driven by the need to expand production capacity and meet the rising demand for publishing and printing services.
“With this 24-hour shift system, we will be able to maximize production time, eliminate delays, and improve customer satisfaction,” he stated. “This will position Ghana Publishing Company as a more competitive and reliable institution in the industry.”
The shift system is expected to create additional employment opportunities for skilled workers, including printers, editors, designers, and administrative staff, as the company transitions to round-the-clock operations.
“This initiative not only improves efficiency but also opens doors for more Ghanaians to secure stable jobs, contributing to economic growth,” (MD’s name) added.
The 24-hour operational model aligns with the company’s vision to modernize and expand its services, catering to government institutions, private businesses, and international clients.
Industry stakeholders have welcomed the initiative, highlighting its potential to boost local publishing, reduce reliance on foreign printing, and improve the overall quality of production in Ghana.
