
President John Dramani Mahama has reaffirmed his commitment to job creation and economic transformation, emphasizing that his 24-hour economy policy is a bold and transformative initiative aimed at expanding employment opportunities across multiple sectors.
Speaking at a fellowship with the clergy, the President outlined his vision to empower young people and drive sustainable economic growth.
“Our 24-hour economy policy is not just a slogan. It is a bold and transformative initiative that we believe will open up employment opportunities across multiple sectors, particularly in business development, agriculture, agribusiness, manufacturing, and digital technology,” he stated.
President Mahama stressed the importance of agriculture in national development, warning that a nation that cannot feed itself cannot prosper. To achieve food security and economic growth, he announced aggressive interventions in the agriculture sector.
His administration’s goal is to make Ghana self-sufficient in food production, transform the country into a major exporter of agricultural products, modernize farming techniques, invest in agro-processing a support farmer with the necessary resources and technology
The President assured Ghanaians that by modernizing agriculture and creating jobs through the 24-hour economy, his government is laying the groundwork for a more prosperous and self-reliant Ghana.
“By modernizing farming techniques, investing in agro-processing, and supporting our farmers, we will lay a solid foundation for a prosperous future for our country,” he declared.
