We will enforce the Shippers act to protect stakeholders – GSA CEO

Professor Ransford Gyampo, the CEO of the Ghana Shippers Authority, is taking steps to enforce the Shippers Act and protect stakeholders in the industry.

This move is motivated by the struggles investors in the shipping industry are facing due to high costs, which have led many to regret their involvement in the business.

During a courtesy call from the Importers and Exporters Association, Gyampo acknowledged the challenges and grievances of stakeholders.

He emphasized the importance of utilizing existing laws to improve the sector, ultimately benefiting the country as a whole.

Gyampo’s vision for the Ghana Shippers Authority includes protecting the interests of shippers while maintaining engagement with shipping service providers to enhance business growth and economic development.

He has also assured stakeholders that the authority is committed to addressing challenges traders face in their operations.

In light of the new government, Gyampo is urging investors and stakeholders to be patient, hoping that they will hear positive developments in the near future.
