The family of late Major Maxwell Adam Mahama Thursday visited Denkyira Obuasi in the Central region, after residents there gruesomely murdered their kindred.
Late Major Mahama on May 29 was brutally lynched and charred after he was allegedly mistaken for an armed robber.
He was with the 5 Infantry Battalion of the Ghana Armed Forces, Burma Camp Accra but on detachment duties at Denkyira Obuasi in the Central region where he was gruesomely murdered by residents there.
As at June 21, 58 suspects were transported to the court in two Police Black Maria vehicles and were protected by heavily armed Police officers and officers of the Criminal Investigations Department (CID).
The suspects were escorted in groups of five (5) to the District Court 3 presided over by Magistrate Ebenezer Kwaku Ansah.
Police Prosecutors led by DSP George Amegah said to the court that the Prosecution now has three separate charge sheets that they intend to consolidate so that all 58 accused persons can be presented to the court on one charge sheet.
