Kumasi, Ghana – President John Dramani Mahama has expressed confidence that, with God’s guidance and his leadership, Ghana will overcome its current challenges.
The President made this declaration during a visit to the Ebenezer Miracle Worship Center in Ahenema Kokoben, near Kumasi, where he joined the Sunday service on January 19, 2025.
Rallying Support and Trust in God
Addressing the congregation, President Mahama assured Ghanaians that God’s unwavering presence would guide the nation through its difficulties.
“Our God never sleeps; He lives forever and will always lead our path,” the President said, encouraging citizens to remain hopeful and united in support of his administration.
Reflecting on the state of the nation’s economy, President Mahama acknowledged the magnitude of the challenges his government faces but assured Ghanaians that there is hope for recovery.
“The challenge ahead is huge. My few days in office have revealed how deeply the economy has been mismanaged. But with courage and determination, we will address these issues and find solutions,” he stated.
Commending Prophet Opambuor
The President also took the opportunity to commend Rev. Dr. Ebenezer Opambuor Adarkwa Yiadom (Prophet 1), describing him as a bold and courageous man of God.
“Prophet Opambuor has demonstrated boldness, even under suppression, to speak God’s truth. We pray for God’s continued direction and protection for him,” President Mahama added.
The President was accompanied by key figures, including National Democratic Congress (NDC) National Chairman Johnson Asiedu Nketia, Ashanti Regional Minister-Designate Dr. Frank Amoakohene, other party executives, and his son, Sharraf Mahama.
Prophet Opambuor’s Message of Hope
In his sermon, Prophet Opambuor emphasized the centrality of faith in overcoming life’s challenges.
“There is no hope without God. He is the reason for our survival, and you shall never be disgraced if you have faith in Him,” the prophet declared.
He also reiterated his earlier prophecy about President Mahama’s election victory, affirming his confidence in God’s plan for the nation.
“God prophesied through me that John Dramani Mahama would become President of Ghana, and that is why I boldly declared it to the people,” he said.
Prayer for Leadership and Policy Success
Prophet Opambuor prayed for wisdom and strength for the President and his administration, particularly in implementing the much-anticipated 24-hour economy policy and other campaign promises.
“May God bless the President for his faith in Christ and grant him the wisdom to implement the 24-hour economy policy and fulfill the promises made to Ghanaians,” he concluded.
