Swedru All Blacks United Football Club, a side competing in the Ghana Premier League, have reached a mutual agreement to part ways with their Egyptian head coach Ahmed Fathi (full name Ahmed Fathi Ibrahim or Ahmed Ibrahim Fathi) and the club’s video analyst Mohammed Adily.
The separation marks the end of the technical duo’s stint with the team, which began in mid-2025 when the newly promoted club appointed the 40-year-old Egyptian coach—holder of a CAF A License with over 15 years of coaching experience—alongside Adily to lead them in the top flight. Both arrived from Egypt around July 2025 and signed permanent deals to bolster the club’s ambitions.
Initial reports earlier in January 2026 indicated that Coach Fathi had announced his resignation on personal grounds via social media, even as he was spotted observing training sessions amid some back-and-forth with the club over formal procedures like a written resignation.
The team played matches during that period under assistant coaching staff, including a 1-1 draw against Nations FC. However, the latest official update confirms that the parting has now been finalized on mutual terms, encompassing both the head coach and the video analyst.
This development comes after Fathi oversaw the side for roughly 17 league games in the 2025/26 season, a period that included some notable results like a win over Asante Kotoko amid an upturn in form for the Black Magicians. The club has not yet announced a replacement for the roles.
