The experience manager has agreed to return to the Goodison Park as the club’s new owners, The Friedkin Group which is currently restructuring the club have now reached a conclusion with Moyes putting pen to paper on a two-and-a-half year contract.

He replaces axed Sean Dyche Dyche who left the Toffees 16th in the Premier League and just a point above the relegation zone after one win in 11 games.

The Scot, 61, left Everton in June 2013 to replace Sir Alex Ferguson as Manchester United manager after he spent 11 years in charge at Goodison Park.

Moyes supervised more than 500 games and guided the Toffees go from relegation battlers to qualifying for the Champions League in 2005.
