Accra, Ghana – The King and Overlord of Gonjaland, Yagbonwura Bii-Kunuto Jewusoale (I), led a high-ranking delegation of chiefs to pay a courtesy call on His Excellency President John Dramani Mahama at his office.
This significant visit followed the President’s inauguration ceremony, marking the beginning of his tenure as Ghana’s leader.
The delegation’s purpose was to offer their blessings and unwavering support to President Mahama, a proud son of Gonjaland, as he embarks on his leadership journey.
The Yagbonwura, in his address, expressed pride in the President’s achievements and urged him to prioritize critical issues such as youth unemployment and corruption.
He highlighted the importance of adopting sustainable measures to address these challenges for the country’s progress.

President Mahama’s Response
In response, H.E President John Dramani Mahama expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the Yagbonwura and the entire delegation for their visit, prayers, and blessings.
He acknowledged the trust placed in him as a son of Gonjaland and vowed to work tirelessly for the advancement of the nation.
He reassured the chiefs that his government would remain committed to nation-building and that their concerns, particularly about youth unemployment and corruption, would be given serious attention.
“As a proud son of Gonjaland, I am deeply honored by your visit and support. My doors will always be open for your suggestions, guidance, and contributions to national development. Together, we will build a better Ghana,” the President said.
