Nollywood actor Yul Edochie has shared some thoughtful advice with women regarding the trend of purchasing expensive wigs for the festive season. He encourages women to embrace their natural hair instead of stressing over pricey alternatives.
In a post on his Facebook page, Yul advised women to prioritize self-care over financial strain, suggesting that if they can’t afford high-end wigs, they should simply wash and style their natural hair. He believes this approach can enhance their beauty while celebrating their African roots.
Yul emphasized that a woman’s worth is not determined by her hairstyle but by her intelligence. He wrote:
“Ladies, if you cannot afford expensive hair this season, don’t stress yourself out. Just wash your natural hair well and weave it back. You will still look beautiful and proudly African. The true value of a woman lies not in her hair but in the content of her mind.”
In the past, Yul has also given advice on relationships, encouraging women to take charge and propose to their partners if they feel their significant other is taking too long to commit. He believes that love knows no boundaries and that anyone can express their feelings.
Additionally, he commented on the story of American reality star Porsha Williams and her marriage, urging couples to prioritize their happiness, regardless of others’ opinions, when it comes to spending on weddings.
