Controversial Nollywood actor Yul Edochie has ignited a wave of reactions after proclaiming his intention to become the next governor of Anambra State, his home state.
On December 19, 2024, he shared an Instagram post featuring a photo with Seyi Tinubu, the son of President Tinubu, where he also proclaimed Seyi as the future governor of Lagos State.
In his caption, Yul stated, “The next Governor of Lagos State @seyitinubu with The next Governor of Anambra State @yuledochie Sealed. THANK YOU LORD!”
As anticipated, the post received a mix of responses from fans and detractors, with many taking to the comments to share their opinions. Some ridiculed Yul’s aspirations, questioning his qualifications for the position. One user commented, “Na today I confirm say you day craze sha,” while another added, “Which Anambra state? in ur dreams 😂😂😂We can’t have mumu as a governor. God forbid. Fichia onu gi!”
Another commenter remarked, “Apari… Nwa mkpi rest… Never seen Seyi like your posts or comments on it before….. forcing yourself on him the way his father forced himself on us and our throat.”
Yet, others defended Yul’s ambitions, stating, “The hate for him is too much. That his marriage failed is not an excuse for all these messages. He has an ambition. If you dislike him, bounce.”
