Veteran Ghanaian actor and dedicated supporter of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Agya Koo, has shared his thoughts on the recent general elections in Ghana.
The Electoral Commission officially announced John Dramani Mahama, the leader of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), as the president-elect just 48 hours after the voting took place.
Before this announcement, Mahama declared victory after Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia conceded defeat only 16 hours after the polls closed.
In light of the results, Agya Koo took to social media to express his reflections, sharing a photo of himself with the Ghanaian flag.
“We give thanks to God for a peaceful and successful election in our beloved Ghana. May His divine guidance lead our nation to greater heights. Let’s keep Ghana in our prayers!” the actor stated.
Agya Koo’s call for unity and prayer received a variety of responses online. While some fans appreciated his supportive message, others seized the moment to poke fun at his strong backing for the NPP’s candidate, Dr. Bawumia.
