The Cyber Security Authority (CSA) has issued an urgent alert to the public regarding malicious links circulating on social media platforms.
These fraudulent schemes falsely claim to offer cash prizes or giveaways from presidential candidates, urging users to provide personal information by answering simple questions.
According to the CSA, these links are designed by cybercriminals to harvest the personal data of unsuspecting individuals for further attacks.
The Authority recommends that citizens disregard and avoid sharing such messages or links.
Users are also advised to verify the sender of any message containing links before accessing them and to avoid engaging with unsolicited links from political parties or candidates.
The public is therefore encouraged to o report cybercrime or related incidents.
