The National Chairman of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Johnson Asiedu Nketiah, has expressed confidence in a political shift in the Tema West constituency ahead of the upcoming elections. As part of his three-day campaign tour of the Greater Accra Region, he delivered the NDC’s message of hope and change to the people, urging them to rally behind the party for meaningful development.
Addressing constituents in Tema West, Mr. Asiedu Nketiah declared, “I can feel the winds of change sweeping through Tema West. This constituency is ready to turn green after December 7.” He criticized the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) for neglecting the constituency despite receiving significant electoral support from the area in past elections.
“The NPP has failed to bring the development Tema West deserves. This election presents a golden opportunity for you to choose leaders who will prioritize your needs. That leader is the NDC’s parliamentary candidate, Lawyer James Enu,” he said.
Mr. Asiedu Nketiah also thanked the clergy and residents for their patience, noting their commitment to stay and listen to his address despite the late hour. He emphasized that the NDC’s vision for the constituency aligns with John Dramani Mahama’s broader agenda to transform the nation.
“Everywhere I have visited, the call for change is loud and clear. The people want a new direction, and Tema West is no exception. To make this change impactful, John Dramani Mahama will need Lawyer James Enu in Parliament to help deliver on the promises made during the campaign,” he added.
On the first day of his tour, the NDC National Chairman visited five constituencies: Kpone Katamanso, Ashaiman, Tema Central, Tema West, and Ledzokuku. At each stop, he encouraged voters to make the right choice by electing NDC candidates both at the presidential and parliamentary levels.
Mr. Asiedu Nketiah concluded his address by urging Tema West residents to seize the moment to secure a brighter future for their constituency, emphasizing that the NDC remains the party with the vision and competence to deliver sustainable development.
